In Roskilde, Danish and English are spoken.

The currency is the Danish Krone (DDK)

Tap water is drinkable, some of the clearest water in the world

Wi-Fi is widespread and available in museums, the library, in many cafes and restaurants and at the tourist information office at Stændertorvet.

Banks are usually open from Monday – Friday. Automatic cash distributors function 24/24.

Shops are open from Monday – Friday 10.00am to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm. Closed on Sunday and public holidays
