Every Wednesday and Saturday is Market Day in Roskilde where Stændertorvet, the square right next to the Catheral, is transformed into a festive, colourful spectacle.

The market offers all kinds of things - from fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, cheese and fresh fish to specialities from exotic countries.

Go bargain hunting in the dusty nooks and crannies of the flea-market or take a look at the handicraft, the antiques, the jewellery, the children's clothes or the bric-à -brac.
