Ågerup B&B

B & B Aagerup offers

a double room in our home in the charming and peaceful old part of the village Ågerup (translated to Aagerup). Excellent as starting point for walks or bicycle tours in the green surroundings over the fields and along the old paths in the village. We have written guides to both.

In Ågerup is a supermarket (open 8-21 all days), library, pizzeria, pub, church and around 1400 inhabitants.

The breakfast is by Danish and New Nordic concept with homemade bread, homemade jams, Skyr (a mild Islandic yoghurt) sprinkled with my own müsli or porridge of various kinds, coffee or tea, juice. Breakfast will usually be served at 8-9 AM, in good weather on the terrace.

The room

Room of 13 m2 with two single beds put together to make double bed (length 2 m, box mattress). One table with two chairs. Sink in the room. The room is somewhat isolated from the other rooms in our house, right at the entrance. Shower and toilet located separately. Non-smoking. Bed linen (“Danish style” with duvets), towels and bathrobes are included. Central heating. Pets not allowed. Electric kettle for coffee or tea. Breakfast ordered separately. Bring your own soap, shampoo, hairdryer.


Single: 300 DKK per night, without breakfast  

Double: 350 DKK per night, without breakfast  

Breakfast: 60 DKK per person per day

Bicycles: 75 DKK per day per bike

Payment: Cash. Closest ATM is in Roskilde. Alternatively bank transfer before arrival.

Arrival and departure

Arrival after 16 (4 PM).  Departure before 10 (AM).


By car: 8 km from Roskilde center (15 min.). 25 km to Copenhagen center (35 min). 11 km to Høje Taastrup station. 4 km to Roskilde Fjord.

Public transport: Bus 216 (Roskilde Station-Ballerup Station), look for “Gundsølillevej” and “Gundsø Omsorgscenter” in the timetabel. Bus 358 (Roskilde Station – Stenløse Station). Just 7 min. walk from bus stop “Aagerup Kirke”. Please see more on (there is an English version to).

Suggestions for activities

At Roskilde Fjord, you can walk along a small isthmus to the peninsula Bolund. Take a bath in the fjord. Further north Salvadparken situated directly by the fjord with 2 shelters, campfire and toilet. Visit the coffee roasting facility Just Coffe. For the birdwatchers, there are three bird hides in the area: 2 by Gundsømagle lake between Østrup and Kirkerup and one between Ågerup and Hvedstrup. You can rent our bikes at a reasonable price. Play Ludo or Mancala in the room. Every year mid august there is a 4 daye summer (sport)festival in our village including contests, dancing and other entertainment, in 2016 it is 11th – 14th august.

 You can also experience

Head to the center of Roskilde, where you can explore and shop in the 1000-year old city, visit the Roskilde Cathedral, the Viking Ship Museum, the old Roskilde Abbey, galleries, Roskilde Museum, the brand new Rock Museum, Ragnarock, and enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants and cafes. Try Pipers Hus in the middle of Roskilde Bypark (the city park). Try Restaurant Vigen, with the beautiful view over the fjord at the terasse. Take a swim in Roskilde Fjord next to Vigen Camping (Veddelev) and it is free, after your swim you may take the bus 216 to my house.
